North America Regional Lean Expert About the job RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic North America Regional Lean Expert in York, PA.
This role will lead the North America Plants Lean Manufacturing process from preliminary P&L gap analysis through implementation of growth and optimization projects and initiatives.
Effectively utilizes PDCA problem solving, plant flow improvement, scrap and waste reduction, Kaizen, and 6S tools.
Works collaboratively with key stakeholders of the operations, engineering team, Research and Development, Quality Control, and Manufacturing Departments to drive continuous improvement.
Must be willing and able to travel throughout North America as necessary.
The North America Regional Lean Expert's tasks will include:
Actively leads and promotes safety improvement initiatives throughout the operations, incorporating safety into all projects and initiatives.
Develop the Lean Support Team members to build growth in culture, performance, technical knowledge, work ethic and leadership utilizing SMART goals and effective feedback routines.
Review and analyze daily operational data to identify trends and operational issues in a timely manner.
Support the team through RCA tools and PDCA methodology to identify root causes of process challenges, poor efficiency, and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Lead plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives including the implementation and continuation of annual VSM reviews, employee Lean training, CEDAC, daily Obeya meetings, plant-flow arrangement, and 6S program.
Collaborate globally with colleagues from every region and present best practice sessions either live or digitally to both executive and technical audiences.
Be a NAM direct point of contact for Global Technical Support teams including MCC, Global Lean, Global Process Technology, and R&D.
Support Global Industry 4.
0 Digitalization efforts into the York Plant including automation as well as MES and ERP development, implementation, and interfacing.
Interact cross-functionally with all of the local plant departments including Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, R&D, and Quality Control, having influence and authority to institute change throughout the plant.
About you Do you have:
Minimum 8 years' experience in a Lean Management position with increasing levels of responsibility and autonomy.
Computer literacy:
Advance skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database creation/management, ERP systems.
Strong mathematical skills with a fundamental understanding of statistical analysis, Lean Concepts, 6S, and Six Sigma Education, training, or background in Lean/Six Sigma Ability to manage multiple priorities Process-oriented mentality Must be hands-on, team oriented and committed to business improvement processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving capabilities Ability to complete tasks / projects in a timely fashion with minimal direct supervision What we bring to the table As a much-valued employer:
