Control Project Engineer

Read mechanical drawings and document precision measurements such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Reviews and interprets customer specifications & documents describing concepts and requirements (both technical & business) for the purpose of developing over-all control system design strategies.
Reviews and analyzes customer machine or process functional requirements (Speed, accuracy, etc.
) for the purpose of developing cost-effective control system solutions.
Designs and produces control system manufacturing documents such as Bill of Materials, Control Panel Arrangement Drawings and Wiring Schematics for the purpose of customer review and approval.
Duties pertaining to control enclosure design, beyond selection of components, may include doing short circuit analysis for proper sizing of circuit protection devices, performing cabinet BTU heat loss calculations for sizing cabinet air conditioners, and designing cabinet grounding and bonding circuits to comply with code requirements.
Duties related to project application designs may include ac or dc motors, multiaxis motion, various instrumentation sensors and controllers, safety circuit components, local area networks and special equipment related to vision inspection.
Works in conjunction with Project Coordinator/Estimators by releasing manufacturing documents (BOM, Arrangements, Schematics) for either costing purposes or for procurement and production.
Consults with Project Coordinator/Estimators on technical questions that might occur throughout the manufacturing of project control panels.
Develops and/or configures project specific application software for PLC, HMI and motor VFD equipment.
Maintains original and backup copies through-out the development process.
Provides in-house testing of completed control panels such as I/O checks and simulation of application sequences and functionality.
Demonstrates completion of software to customers with a formal FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
Receives punch list and/or formal sign-off from customer prior to equipment shipment.
Travels to customer sites for plant equipment observations, for milestone coordination meetings, assisting with equipment start-ups and testing or overseeing an installation.
Participates as part of an estimating team on project proposals.
This may entail selection of high-tech equipment and instrumentation, along with hour estimates for design, drafting, software development, testing, and start-up assistance with related travel expenses.
Duties are reviewed and coordinated with a Project Manager and/or with the General Manager.
May assist with writing portions or entire proposal letters to clients.
(In collaboration with a Project Manager, GM, SM or the President) Follows all safety procedures, aware of potential safety hazards.
Maintains a clean warehouse/ shop housekeeping, Additional duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
