York, PA York, PA Part-time Part-time From $72 a day From $72 a day 5 hours ago 5 hours ago 5 hours ago RIDE-SHARE MINI-VAN DRIVER Reliance seeks individuals, preferably with experience helping those with special needs to become our Ride-Share Mini-Van Drivers.
This position will transport school students with disabilities such as mental or physical impairments.
These include but are not limited to, a learning, behavior, or health-related condition.
Students may also have conditions or disorders not readily apparent to others, such as learning disabilities, diabetes, epilepsy, and allergies.
Some students have low vision, poor hearing, and difficulty comprehending and differentiating appropriate-versus-inappropriate behaviors.
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS Availability every Monday - Friday, every day school is in session Availability to work a split shift Monday-Friday 6:
30am-8:
45am / 2pm-4:
30pm (approx.
hours) The ability to adjust to daily changes in routes and students Familiarity with York County and surrounding areas Patience and compassion for special needs children Experience with minors who have Intellectual, Developmental, and/or Health-related disabilities Ability to pass a pre-employment and annual physical and drug screen Ability to assist student loading/un-loading as required PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Safely and professionally transport up to 6 students by mini-van without incidents Remain in the vehicle with students at all times Must enjoy working with children Must possess a sympathetic understanding of individual student needs, interests, and abilities Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students Alert teacher/administrator to any problems or special information about an individual student
