We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at York Building Products (YBP).
As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and more.
This is an opportunity to be a part of a forward-thinking HR team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our HR programs and processes.
Essential Functions:
Lead recruitment efforts by interviewing and selecting qualified candidates for open positions, collaborating closely with department managers.
Streamline and enhance the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
Provide frontline support for benefits and leave administration and address employee questions related to benefits.
Maintain accurate data in our HR system (UltiPro) and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Actively promote employee engagement initiatives and contribute to the organizational culture.
Serve as a key point of contact for employees, addressing employment-related inquiries and concerns.
Manage and participate in HR projects, including areas like rewards and recognition, performance management, and training.
Assist with payroll processing, timecard review, audits, and transmission.
Administer the random drug screen process and ensure compliance.
Qualifications and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 3 years of general HR experience, with a focus on recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR systems (preferably UltiPro).
PHR certification is a plus.
Payroll processing experience is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Exceptional customer service orientation and timely responsiveness to inquiries.
Strong analytical skills and an inclination for continuous improvement.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
Capacity to manage projects independently and efficiently.
Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
