HR Generalist to join our team at York Building Products (YBP).
As a Sr.
HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and more.

Essential Functions:
Employee Relations:
Serve as key point of contact to address employee concerns and conflicts in a timely and confidential manner.
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture by fostering strong relationships between employees and management.
Provide guidance and support to employees on HR related matters including policies, laws, benefits, leaves of absence, etc.
Manage and participate in HR projects, including areas like rewards and recognition, performance management and training.
Recruitment and Staffing:
Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective strategies to attract top talent.
Streamline and enhance the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
Assist with orientation and onboarding activities for new employees.
HR Compliance and Reporting:
Stay up to date on labor laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
Prepare and analyze HR data and reports to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for HR improvements.
Administer the random drug screen process and ensure compliance.
Training and Development:
Help to identify training needs within the organization.
Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
Assist with the performance management process, including performance appraisals and feedback.
Qualifications and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Proven experience as an HR Generalist, with at least 5 years in HR roles with progressively higher-level responsibility focusing on employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits/leave administration, and HR systems.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
Thorough understanding of employment-related laws, regulations and best practices.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Exceptional customer service orientation and timely response to inquiries.
Strong analytical skills and an inclination for continuous improvement.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Outstanding organizational skills, time management and attention to detail.
Capacity to manage projects independently and efficiently.
