Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring seamless inventory operations.
The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in minimizing discrepancies, improving efficiency, and supporting overall supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment needs.
Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile with system records.
Receiving and Inspection:
Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or defects.
Document and report discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
Order Fulfillment:
Process and fulfill internal and external orders in a timely manner.
Coordinate with relevant departments to meet order requirements.
Stock Rotation and Shelf Life Management:
Implement proper stock rotation techniques to ensure the utilization of older inventory.
Monitor and manage products with expiration dates or shelf life considerations.
Supplier Communication:
Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, discrepancies, and other inventory-related issues.
Collaborate with vendors to address shortages, overages, or quality concerns.
Optimization and Analysis:
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, track usage patterns, and recommend adjustments to stock levels.
Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and other key performance indicators.
Maintain accurate documentation of all inventory-related transactions.
Quality Control:
Implement and maintain quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing inventory.
Address quality issues promptly and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse, and logistics, to ensure seamless inventory operations.
Provide support during audits and inventory reconciliations.
