1K a year The Maple Press Company has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant.
This is a first shift full time position.
Hours:
Monday- Friday:
8:

m.
40 hours/ week; 30- minute lunch break; overtime when necessary Job Duties:
Assist with the maintenance of the company general ledger, chart of accounts, and all financial records.
Assist with the monthly and annual financial closing process.
Assist in evaluating and applying internal controls to achieve accurate and efficient accounting systems and compliance with company and professional accounting practices.
Assist with Company financial reporting including the preparation of regular financial statements and specialized management reports.
Assist in developing policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure transactions are recorded properly.
Assist with the Accounts Payable process.
Assist with the Payroll process.
Assist with the projection and budgeting process.
Participate in audits of financial records with external auditors and initiate appropriate action as required.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Credentials:
BS/BA in Accounting.

years' experience in accounting required.
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting.
Manufacturing company experience preferred.
Excellent communications skills, both oral and written with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Working knowledge of ERP systems a plus.
Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel skills.
Ability to pass a background check.
Must be at least the age of 18.
