Human Resources Administrator/Recruiter
The Sr. Accountant is primarily responsible for the Mobile Services Business Unit's overall accounting practices. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of an effective and efficient work flow of accounting transactions in compliance with GAAP Corporate financial policies.
Key
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of new client accounting processes and procedures.
o On a short-term basis, perform accounting work necessary to ensure new client processes operate smoothly.
o Research and resolve discrepancies related to general ledger account reconciliations, recommend and champion process changes to avoid on-going issues.
o Review tasks with a continuous focus on process improvement, financial controls and transfer of established processes.
o Build relationships with Mobile Service business unit's Finance personnel to assure timely communication related to client changes impacting financial reporting
o Act as liaison between Accounting and the business and external clients- Communicating and Educating
o Ensures that the business unit's results are presented accurately and timely; with corresponding analytics.
o Research, track and explain financial variances and fluctuations as needed to support financial controls.
o Liaison for Internal and External Auditors to ensure successful completion of all financial audits related to the Mobile Service Business Unit.
o Ensures compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and standards as they relate to the financial records of the business.
Required skills/
Experience:
o Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
o 4
yrs experience in Accounting, with 2 years in a Senior Accountant role
o Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
o Advance Excel skills.
o Strong financial system expertise, encompassing spreadsheet, queries, large volume data manipulation and reconciliation, and month-end accounting close process.
o Must have a solid understanding of GAAP financial accounting.
o Experience in relational databases such as Access or Cognos.
o Experience in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Great Plaines.
o Experience working with multiple financial systems to obtain data to analyze the business.
o Strong analytical skills
o Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate among peers as well as upper management.
Desired skills:
o CPA is a plus
o SOX
